Terms of Service

Welcome to Dalton Events (“we,” “us”), a community events calendar for Dalton, Georgia at daltonga.app (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
1. The Service
Dalton Events lets anyone browse and submit local events, create an account to RSVP, follow venues, leave reviews, and optionally pay to feature an event. Event information is provided for convenience and may contain errors — always confirm details with the organizer or venue before attending. We don’t run most listed events and aren’t responsible for them.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract to use paid features. If you create an account, you’re responsible for your login and for activity under it. Keep your password secure and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Submitting events & content
When you submit an event, review, comment, or other content, you confirm it’s accurate and that you have the right to post it, and you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it as part of the Service. Submitted events are reviewed before they appear, and we may edit, decline, or remove any content at our discretion. Don’t post anything unlawful, misleading, spammy, infringing, or abusive.
4. Reviews & community conduct
Reviews and comments should be honest and civil. We use automated filters and human review, and we may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Featured (paid) listings
You can pay to “feature” an event, which highlights it (e.g., at the top of the home page and in emails) for the period you select. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store your card details. Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time.
Refunds. If you pay to feature an event that is then not approved (so it never appears), we’ll refund that promotion. Once a featured placement has gone live, it is generally non-refundable. If a technical problem on our end prevents your featured placement from displaying, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll make it right (re-run it or refund it). Featuring does not guarantee any specific number of views or outcomes.
6. Prohibited uses
Don’t misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk automated access without permission, no attempts to break security or rate limits, no impersonation, and no using the Service to send spam or for any illegal purpose.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service or ask us to delete your account anytime at [email protected].
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
