This policy explains what Dalton Events (daltonga.app) collects and how we use it. We aim to collect only what we need to run a community events calendar.
What we collect
- Account info — if you sign up: a username, display name, email, and a securely hashed password. Optional profile bio and photo.
- Content you submit — events, reviews, comments, RSVPs, check-ins, and follows.
- Anti-spam data — when you submit an event we record your IP address and a device fingerprint to prevent spam and abuse.
- Payments — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded.
- Cookies — a small signed cookie keeps you logged in. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
To run and improve the Service: show and moderate events, let you RSVP/follow/review, prevent spam, process payments for featured listings, and send the emails you’ve opted into (welcome, reminders for events you’re going to, the weekly digest, and password resets).
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share only with the service providers needed to operate: Stripe (payments) and Resend (email delivery). We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from reminder and digest emails using the link in any such email or your account’s notification settings (security emails like password resets are always sent). You can edit your profile anytime, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing [email protected].
Children
The Service isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
